Foreign Language Course
As already mentioned, this is the oldest foreign language course in a senior high school in Japan.
Naturally, great importance is attached to the learning of English being the major subject offered,
utilizing the two fully equipped language laboratories. In the third year, students can choose either German,
French, Chinese or Spanish as a second foreign language. It is not common in a Japanese high school to
learn a foreign language other than English. For those hoping to enter science related universities and
institutions, we prepare the subject choice to secure their path in this field.
The students can learn foreign languages from overseas teachers who are native speakers.
We always have exchange students from other countries, who make friends with our students.
Every year we welcome to our school quite a few guests from overseas with whom we often plan
international goodwill events. On these occasions students can have opportunities to use their foreign
languages ability in real situations. We are proud that students can study in an international atmosphere.

special skills in Nature Studies. Not only do we prepare them for the curriculum that will make them take
more interest in Natural Studies, but the curriculum very useful for university entrance examinations, because
almost all of them hope to enter science related universities.
Besides studying many high level science and mathematics subjects in class, they are given opportunities to
listen to lectures by some university professors. They are also given group related study tasks and are
expected to give their research projects papers to the teachers and students at the end of the year.
Above the systematic understanding of science and mathematics that is taught, attention is given to training
